1960s pattern for a girl's winter anorak.
Hip-length anorak with quilted lining and front zipper with button band covering. Pockets with zippers and flaps. Belt. Sleeves finished with knit border. Drawstring hood, fur-trimmed collar.
By Swiss publisher Meyers Modeblatt, no. 8886 Meyers Modeblatt was a magazine for housewives, and though pattern sheets were included once a month, most patterns had to be ordered by mail, like this one.
All pattern pieces are pre-cut and marked with small holes for markings etc. Pattern pieces are stamped with remarks like "grain line", "side seam", "Centre back" etc. in German and French. Instructions are printed on the sleeve, text only, no illustrations, and they are in German and French.
Size: marked as for age 12.
There are unfortunately no measurements given anywhere on the pattern. The following are measurements taken from the pattern pieces:
Center back length: 25 1/4" / 64 cm
Center back neck to waist length: 13 3/4" / 35 cm
Bust: 38 1/2" / 98 cm
Waist: 38 1/2" / 98 cm
Width at bottom: 39 3/4" / 101 cm
Please keep in mind this would be the finished garment's measurement, so the wearer's measurements must be less and allow room for bulky winter clothing to be worn underneath!
