1950s Sheath Dress and Reversible Swing Jacket Sewing Pattern Ringier g18922 B36
What a fantastic look! This 1950s pattern features a sheath dress with short kimono sleeves with contrasting cuffs and insert at the neckline. The matching short swing jacket is fully reversible and has a shawl collar and wide, turned back cuffs on the 3/4 length sleeves.
This pattern appeared in the Ringier pattern magazine of Spring/Summer 1951, from which the last image is (magazibe not included in sale).
All pattern pieces are pre-cut and marked with small holes for markings etc. Pattern pieces are stamped with remarks line "grain line", "side seam", "Centre back" etc. in German and French. Instructions in German and French, text only, no illustations.
Size: marked vintage European size 42
Measurements:
Bust: 36 1/4" / 92 cm
Waist: 28 3/8" / 72 cm
Hips: 39 3/4" / 100 cm
Condition: complete, pattern is unused and mostly factory folded. The pattern pieces and instructions were always folded up in one tight package. However, this has suffered some storage damage on one corner, where the instruction sheet is breaking up along the fold. The pattern tissue is fine, but the instruction sheet is fragile - see photo.
