1940s Pattern Drafting System Der Leichte Schnitt with 29 Patterns for Women, Men and Children
A rare 1940s pattern drafting system called "Der Leichte Schnitt" (The Easy Pattern), a similar system to Lutterloh with small pattern diagrams that can be enlarged according to one's measurements.
What is included: two large, folded sheets with the garments drawn on one side and the respective pattern diagrams printed on the back. 29 patterns in total. They are shown in the photos folded in half as they would have been to big to photograph otherwise.
The first sheet has 13 patterns for women: 9 dresses (among them a house dress and a maternity dress) and 4 coats.
The second sheet has 16 patterns: 3 girl's dresses, 1 girl's coat, 2 children's coats, boy's pants and boy's pants and waistcoat, boy's gym suit, girl's/women's apron, women's overalls, men's overalls, men's work coat, women's work coat, men's pajamas and men's shirt.
The third sheet is missing (the introduction mentions 45 patterns).
There is also a small introductory pamphlet included that explains a few things in German, however, the detailed instructions ("Die Zuschneidehilfe") and the necessary measuring tapes are missing and not included!
Condition: very good condition, just a little wear along the folds.
