1950s Ladies Suit Sewing Pattern with Kimono Sleeve Jacket Ringier g19920 B38.5
A very elegant 1950's ladies' suit pattern.
Hip-length jacket with nipped-in waist, buttons to above the bust. Elegant, high funnel neckline without an added collar. Three-quarter length kimono sleeves with underarm gussets. Calf-length, slim skirt with pleats in the back.
This pattern was shown in the Ringier Journal de Mode Autumn/Winter 1953/54 (see last photo). The magazine is not for sale.
All pattern pieces are pre-cut and marked with small holes for markings etc. Pattern pieces are stamped with remarks line "grain line", "side seam", "Centre back" etc. in German and French. Instructions in German and French (without illustrations).
Size: marked vintage European size 44
Measurements:
Bust: 98 cm / 38 1/2"
Waist: 76 cm / 30"
Hips: 106 cm / 41 3/4"
Condition: The pattern is complete, however, the jacket pattern pieces have been used and have been adjusted - made smaller lengthwise - by folding and taping the pattern down the middle of it. This can be undone but will result in some damage; these pieces are therefore best copied for use. The skirt pieces look unused. Pattern has been priced accordingly.
